Vintage Oscar Gowns and Dresses

Hopefully tonight will bring lots of stunning looks (coverage tomorrow); but here's a look at some gorgeous vintage gowns from the Oscars.

Above, after her win in 1961, Sophia Loren presented Gregory Peck with his Best Actor Oscar the following year in this white fringed concoction.  Sorry there is no full-length pic, they're quite hard to find.

Audrey Hepburn in a teeny waist-showing Givenchy design along with her Roman Holiday Best Actress Oscar.

The make-up wasn't Audrey's normal choice but her stage make-up from Ondine which she had just rushed from a performance of to attend the ceremony.

Grace Kelly at the 1955 Awards, where she won for her appearance in Country Girl, and in a publicity shot in her beautiful Helen Rose dress.

Back in 1951, before curve-clinging dresses became her thing, Marilyn Monroe wore this full princessy embellished-tulle gown while presenting an award.

Natalie & Nicole's Spirit Award Looks

Gearing up for tonights Oscars, Natalie Portman and Nicole Kidman were both at the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards last night (February 26).

Nicole was her usual elegantly conservative self in a red L'Wren Scott dress paired with pinky Charlotte Olympia kitten heels.

Natalie, meanwhile, stepped into Spring in a yellow Givenchy dress teamed with a bright co-ordinating clutch.

Nude patent Stella McCartney heels completed her pretty look.

Kim & Kourtney in K-DASH Sequins

Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian were at the QVC Red Carpet Style Party on February 25.

Kim paired tapered pants with a simple top and glitter-adding cropped K-DASH jacket.  Matching with the jacket, Kim topped the look with gold platform pumps from Charlotte Olympia.

Kourtney wore her sequins on the other half, donning a bronze K-DASH skirt to bling up her otherwise all-black look which included strappy Alexander McQueen heels.

Nicole's Simple Alaia Look

Nicole Richie went for a simple ribbed LBD and high heels combo as she attended the QVC Red Carpet Style Party on February 25.

Her ribbed mini dress was from Alaia and the pumps were YSL's Tribs.

Paris Hilton's Hollywood Gala Look

Never less than her usual preened self, Paris Hilton was on glittering form as she arrived at the Hollywood Domino Gala in a beaded red dress.

Accessories were her black patent Gretchen "Actress" clutch and Louboutin pumps.

Sara Paxton at the Hollywood Domino Gala

While all the other attendees were glammed up, Sara Paxton was a little more low-key at the Hollywood Domino Gala held in L.A. on February 24.

Sara wore a striped shirt dress, topped with a black leather jacket, and teamed with her leopard print Fendi booties.
